St. Patrick’s Day is something we don’t generally celebrate at our place. This time though, one of Sarah’s friends asked her what she’ll be doing on the day (and of course she came and asked me the same question). And so, I decided to do this little fun craft activity with the kids, to give them a little feel of the occasion.
Requirements:
What we did:
We cut the center out of the paper plate so that it became a round ‘donut’ shape.
Since our printed shamrocks were black and white (just plain shamrock-shaped outlines), Timothy was entrusted with the task of coloring them green. Once that was done, we cut out the shamrocks.
Now it was Sarah’s turn – she carefully glued on the green paper shamrocks so that they completely covered our paper ‘donut’.
We found an old but colorful bow from our art supplies box and pasted it onto our ‘wreath’.
A piece of yarn stuck at the back and our shamrock wreath was ready to hang on to the kitchen cabinet!
