I must be having the greatest collection of mason jars in the neighborhood. So much so that they are now ending up getting stocked at the back of our garage, and (according to my husband) even the space there is running out. And so I decided to find out some interesting ways to make them useful. My quest is just about to begin - I have decided to take up this mason jar craft which talks about transforming that plain old glass jar into a wowie stained candle holder.
Requirements:
Tissue paper of different bright colors, school glue, mason jars (any sizes would do), tea light candle, foam craft brush.
How to go about it:

Requirements:
Tissue paper of different bright colors, school glue, mason jars (any sizes would do), tea light candle, foam craft brush.
How to go about it:
- Get your kids to help you cut the tissue paper (different colors) into squares. Around 15-20 squares per jar should do, depending on the size.
- Use the foam brush to apply a thin coat of glue all over the outer surface of the jar.
- Sticking on one tissue paper piece at a time, carefully apply the cut squares to the jar. Try not to overlap with the same color in order to make them look more colorful. Make sure no plain glass shows through, even if the squares of different colors overlap.
- Once you’re done with the sticking on part, re-apply a thin coat of glue all over the squares so that they get fixed in place for good. Your hard work is done – just let the jar dry in the sunlight for a couple of hours and your stained candle holder is ready!
